On Saturday 8th April 2017, we sponsored the Rossendale vs Huddersfield rugby match at Rossendale Sports Club. As such, over 50 staff and guests enjoyed a 3-course meal, drinks and a pitch-side view of the game in the famous ‘wagon’.
The game could not have fallen on a better weekend – the weather was glorious with nothing but blue skies and high temperatures, putting everyone in high spirits.
Company Account Manager, Bryony Walker said: “The wagon was a fantastic afternoon out with great food, drinks and company. The sun was shining and the game enjoyable even though we didn’t win this time. It was wonderful to spend some social time with everyone from the office and the field engineers.”
Company Founder and Managing Director, Martin Lewis is a former Rossendale RUFC 1st team scrumhalf and current supporter of the club. He saw the event as an opportunity to bring the full Beta team together for a fun day out away from the office.
Martin said: “This is a really great day out that not only supports Rossendale Rugby Club, but provides an opportunity for all the staff to get together to enjoy a social and sporting event. It allows our office and field based staff to get to know one another in a non-work capacity.”
Although we are based and operate from our Bacup headquarters, the company operates nationwide and has mobile Engineers situated across the country. Arranging social outings for the full team can be difficult, so this occasion was particularly special for the company. Martin would like to extend special thanks to the Engineers that travelled some distance to be in attendance on the day.
